La Belle Maison is a traditional Breton cottage that has been upgraded to provide all the comforts expected of a modern self-catering holiday home without losing the character of the property.

Situated in its own south-west facing mature garden, the cottage benefits from views over the surrounding countryside to the distant forest in the west; the sunsets are wonderful!

There is a terraced outdoor dining area with hardwood furniture and built-in barbeque, the remainder of the garden is grassed with mature flowering shrub borders, cherry, apple and oak trees.

A few easy steps up to the cottage entrance where the single level accommodation opens off a wide hallway. There is a dual aspect kitchen-diner with ample cooking equipment to ensure guests staying out of salad season can cater for themselves properly. The separate sitting room has an extremely comfortable suite, and both bedroom enjoy good views, lots of storage space, working shutters and original chestnut parquet floors. The shower room was completely refitted in 2010 and is roomy enough for a chair and spacious vanity unit.

The small friendly market town of Plessala is just 3km away, and there are several larger towns within a 15km radius.

Location description

This is a tranquil, rural location with plenty of time and space to relax and forget the stresses of busy everyday life.
The cottage is just uphill from a trout river, on the opposite bank there is a large forest.
Kayaks can be hired to use on the river and pony trekking is available in the forest.
Nearby are several interesting and very well preserved medieval towns, with regular markets, individual shops and plenty of good restaurants.
There are several large of lakes for fishing and watersports in this area, with golf courses are dotted around the region.
Brittany's north coast beaches are an easy drive and offer a selection of rocky coves with mussel beds, flat golden sands, bustling marinas and coastal footpaths with stunning views.
