On the edge of the famous Peak District, set within a 700 acre working dairy farm these 17th century Grade II listed cottages combine traditional character and modern convenience to provide luxurious self-catering accommodation.
Each cottage is attractively furnished to a high standard, with exposed beams and stonework retaining much of the original character. Fully equipped, each cottage has under-floor heating and all the comforts of home, creating a cosy and relaxing atmosphere for your holiday.
Situated in an elevated position, the cottages enjoy fabulous panoramic views over the Peak District. A large garden with outdoor seating and barbeque facilities provides a picturesque setting to unwind, ideal for al fresco dining in the summer months. Our Finnish Barbeque House is ideal for all year round dining. Made out of the finest red wood and with a central barbeque it is a wonderful way to cook in the evenings. It seats 12 people comfortably.
Ideally located if you love the outdoors, the cottages overlook the Trans Pennine Trail and are less than an hours drive from Hathersage, the centre of Peak District walking country. Dogs are welcome.
Our ‘Summit’ spa is a Canadian Arctic Spa and can seat up to six people comfortably. It has 4 pumps and 75 jets for a truly invigorating experience. With ‘Northern Lights, installed, colour can be changed at the touch of a button with rainbow patterns enhancing your spa experience.
All prices include a welcome hamper*, duvets, bed linen, towels and all heating and lighting. cots and high chairs can be provided as well as non allergenic bedding. (*welcome hamper not applicable to short breaks). Guests are personally welcomed by us and shown round the cottage. A pack containing local information, maps and attractions/ activities is provided in each cottage.

Location description
Less than an hour’s drive from Hathersage, the centre of Peak District walking country. Dogs are welcome.Local walks are plentiful through stunning countryside as seen in “Last of the Summer Wine” (Filmed in Holmfirth 6 ½ miles away).
Nearby attractions include Holmfirth, Chatsworth and Harewood House, Bakewell and Buxton. But, if you’re missing the bright lights of city life, Sheffield, Leeds and Manchester are no more than 40 minutes drive away, all with a wide selection of high quality shops and a vibrant nightlife.
There is an excellent choice of country pubs and restaurants within easy reach (most within a 3 mile radius) for evening entertainment, giving you the chance to sample the local ales and of course the famous Yorkshire pudding!
There is a farm shop opposite the cottages and local well stocked shops are 4 miles away.
The nearest train station is Penistone, 4 miles away. Bus transport is also available from Penistone to surrounding towns.
