    Description

    Venture down a country lane to find Penyrallt Fach Cottage, the perfect country retreat on a secluded organic dairy farm overlooking the beautiful Teifi Valley of north Carmarthenshire for a real escape from the bustle of the everyday world.

    The cottage is a Grade 2 listed building making a comfortable & quirky cottage of character with exposed beams & wood-lined ceilings. There is a wood-fired hot tub in the garden for the exclusive use of guests staying in the cottage.

    The accommodation for up to 3 people, comprises a large, fully-equipped kitchen/sitting room with a ceramic hob electric cooker, fridge & dishwasher. There is a farmhouse table with seating and two comfortable sofas for relaxing by the wood-burning stove.
    There is a tv., dvd player, a radio & WiFi.

    The two bedrooms have a king-size bed and a small double repectively making the cottage suitable for couples or small families with an older child or teenager. The rooms are simply and attractively furnished. Cosy goose-down duvets are on all the beds as well as beautiful locally woven Welsh wool blankets.

    The bathroom has a bath, wash-basin, lavatory, washing machine & heated towel-rail.

    Central heating is available from 1st October to 1st May.
    All fuel for the wood-burner & hot tub, central heating, electricity, bed-linen & towels are included in the price.
    Basic household items including washing-up liquid & laundry liquid are supplied.

    The cottage is not suitable for children under 5 years of age.
    We regret we cannot accept dogs in the cottage.

    Week-long bookings are from Saturday - Saturday..
    Short breaks of a minimum of 3 nights are available out of peak season.

    The farm is member of the Soil Association and visitors are welcome to request a guided farm walk, free of charge.

    Location description

    The Teifi Valley is an area of spectacular & varied landscapes form the mountains of mid-wales to the beaches of Cardigan Bay.It offers a great variety of places of interest as bordering the three counties of Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion & Pembrokeshire it give visitors a gateway to to many ancient historic sites, castles, gardens, museums, small market towns and villages. St David's cathedral is only an hour away.
    There are many artisan food makers in the area and also a large number of artists & craftspeople have their studios & galleries in the locality.

    The River Teifi is renowned for its salmon fishing and canoeing.
    There are stunning places to walk in the Berwyn & Cambrian mountains to the north & the Preseli Hills to the south. The Pembrokeshire National Park and Coast Path are only a short drive away as are the beaches of Cardigan Bay & the Ceredigion Coast Path.

    From the M4 junction 49 take the A 48 to Carmarthen. Follow the signs onto the A486. Travel for about 16 miles to the village of Rhos. Turn onto the A486 signposted Llandysul & Newquay. Go for about 1/4 mile to a small crossroads, turn right at the No Through Road sign. Go down the lane, over a small stone bridge and on up the track to the farm.
