The cottage windows frame changing seascapes - fishermen, emptying their lobster pots from their small boats on a sea as smooth as glass; in summer, ocean ripples become myriads of tiny prisms refracting dazzling sunlight in all directions; in winter, wild crashing waves dramatically reminding of the Atlantic’s shear power and vastness. From the pretty garden you feel you could almost reach over and touch St. Michael’s Mount and paddle your feet in the bay. You can see the nearby the coastal path on its way to deserted sandy coves fringed with wild flowers, to seals loitering in the surf. You can watch the ferry boat to St. Michael’s Mount collecting its passengers from the tiny harbour in the ancient town, when the causeway is covered by the tide.
