This delightful Holy Island cottage is situated on the tranquil village green, close to St. Mary's Church, Lindisfarne Priory and the beach where the famous ruins of Cuddy's Chapel lie on the aptly named St. Cuthbert's Island.

Hedgehope Cottage is beautifully and sympathetically decorated, cosy yet spacious and fully equipped to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Hedgehope's situation on Fiddlers Green makes it an ideal base for exploring the historically rich and diverse Holy Island, there are beautiful, secluded beaches and coves where you will most likely be the only visitor, rolling grassy dunes that are rich in flora and fauna. The stunning natural scenery of Holy Island is a fine place to observe the great variety of birds that visit and stay on the island. There are the romantic ruins of the well kept Lindisfarne Priory and the imposing landmark of Lindisfarne Castle atop Beblowe Crag. After a day of good sea air and beautiful sights, enjoy the atmosphere and a traditional drink at one of the village pubs or simply relax and contemplate the the breathtaking sunsets from the Heugh or from the beach a short stroll from the cottage......

An excellent place to relax, unwind and take in the beautiful scenery, wildlife and history of this unspoilt area of Britain.

Holy Island or Lindisfarne is in a conservation area and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on Northumberland's Heritage Coastline.

There are lots of beautiful and interesting places to visit on and off the Island and here is short selection: St Mary's Church (635AD), Lindisfarne Priory (E.H.), Lindisfarne Castle (N.T.), Holy Island Heritage Centre, Bamburgh Castle, The Alnwick Garden and Castle, The Farne Islands (N.T.). There are beautiful, unspoilt beaches, friendly market towns, historic castles,pretty fishing villages, in short there is something for everyone!
