The Byre at Brunt Knott Farm holiday cottages benefits from a peaceful elevated location nestled into the side of Brunt Knott Fell, within the Lake District National Park. The farm is surrounded by unspoilt countryside, with excellent footpaths and bridleways providing good walking and cycling from your cottage door. Panoramic views of Lakeland fells can be enjoyed from each cottage and a variety of wildlife can be observed.
The cottage has been created from the sympathetic conversion of traditional stone and slate farm buildings. The decor of the cottage is traditional; white walls, exposed beams and areas of feature stonework. The Byre cottage has its own garden area with picnic table and private parking. The cottage is well equiped with comfortable furniture and floor coverings, colour TV, electric cooker, microwaves and refrigerator. A cot and bike storage are available. There is a communal laundry room with tourist information, automatic washing machine and tumble dryer, paperback books and games for guest use.
The Byre was the term for the building where the cattle were kept but they would have to have been very athletic animals as this Byre is on three floors and sleeps five. The ground floor has an entrance hall, shower room and bedroom with a single bed and a set of bunk beds. The lounge/kitchen/dining area is on the first floor. There is a large attic style double bedroom on the second floor, with a single "Z bed". This cottage has full oil fired central heating but no wood burning stove or open fire. There is a lawned area outside the cottage with a picnic table and views similar to the Stables Cottage.
