Description of holiday cottage near Ilfracombe, South West
Step from the pretty courtyard down into the kitchen that forms part of the ground floor, open plan living area. You'll find all the facilities y you'll need here to rustle up a big breakfast or evening feast including an electric oven and grill; ceramic hob, microwave, fridge and freezer.
The dining area offers a ptraditional pine farmhouse table around which there is plenty of room for 6 people. Beyond that, the lounge area has a large corner sofa, complete with colourful scatter cushions, the kind you like to curl up on and play board games or watch DVDs on the large flatscreen TV, or listen to a CD. If more action is required, there are plenty of board games in the cupboard to entertain families. The kitchen and living space still feature the carefully restored Marland brick flooring with a soft rug in the lounge area.
From the lounge area, open tread wooden stairs lead to a delightful double bedroom with original beams and sea views from the windows.
Back on the ground floor, enjoy a long soak in an original roll top cast iron bath in the Victorian style bathroom.
Next to the bathroom a couple of steps lead to a hallway overlooking the courtyard leading to the master bedroom and twin bedroom which share a separate shower room and toilet. The double room contains a king-sized sleigh-bed while both rooms are fitted out with antique pine furniture. A cot can be located in the double bedroom if required.
Step back outside, this time from the stable door in the lounge area, to discover 3.5 acres of beautifully laid grounds with great uninterrupted views of the North Devon countryside and sea. At the top of a small flight of steps by the flowering rockery, to find your private eating area with a gas fired BBQ that is just for Aggies guests.

Location description
Higher Mullacott Farm is in an ideal location within easy reach of many of the North Devon attractions. Holidays here can be either incredibly relaxing or completely fun-filled – you decide!For guests that prefer to get away from it, take a long stroll along the South West Coastal footpath or explore the country landscape of the Exmoor National Park.
For family days by the sea, Woolacombe Sands is just 3 miles away - a Blue Flag beach and a surfing paradise. There are further clean and beautiful beaches at Croyde and Saunton within a 10-5 minute drive.
The Victorian town of Ilfracombe (1 mile) has an excellent choice of shops, pubs and restaurants (The Quay Restaurant and White Hart Bar along the quaint harbourside are owned by the artist Damian Hirst). Day trips to Lundy Island depart from here. A selection of deep sea fishing boats also depart from the harbour every day. A visit to the Tunnels Beach is high recommended - a special place steeped in history where four tunnels carved through the rocks in the 1820’s lead you to the beach. This Blue Flag beach has a tidal pool which is popular with children who can swimming, and snorkelling in safety.
