A charming decked area is available from the lounge, with tables and chairs to sit and enjoy a glass of local wine, relaxing to the sounds of the waves lapping the shoreline. Wake up to this wonderful sound.

The views are outstanding across The Solent with an ever changing canvas before your eyes, sunrise to sunset, with the Queen Mary elegantly cruising by to a far off destination. Many other cruise liners glide past the cottage, arriving and departing from Southampton.

The beach is shingle at high tide and sand at low tide - take a stroll along the beach to Titchfield National Nature Reserve, wander around il Head's petite harbour, the mouth of the river Meon. Enjoy a New Forest ice cream at the nature reserves tea rooms, or wander a few hundred metres along the beach to the popular family pub directly on the beach, The Osborne View.

Cowes View seaside cottage is ideally located for the diverse sites that Hampshire offers.The Portsmouth Historic Dockyard that is the home to Nelson's flagship, HMS Victory, The Mary Rose, HMS Warrior, Spinnaker Tower at Gunwharf Quays, the lat surviving passenger hovercraft to the Isle of Wight that takes 10 minutes.

The beautiful National New Forest, The South Downs, Winchester, the county town of Hampshire, and many more interesting sites for a variety of different interests.

The cottage is suitable for families and friends - there is a decked walk way from the pavement to the entrance to the cottage - the ground floor is smooth, polished concrete all on the same level, to the decked area at the rear of the cottage. It is an ideal location for wedding nights and enjoying pre-wedding drinks.

Location description

Hampshire is a diverse county with many attractions.

Locally and within walking distance is The Titchfield National Nature Reserve with many varieties of birds all year round.

At Portsmouth is a national treasure HMS Nelsons flagship The Victory, the Mary Rose, HMS Warrior, the controversial Spinnaker Tower which has spectacular Views of Portsmouth Harbour and across to The Isle of Wight. Easily accessible is The New Forest, National Motor Museum of Beaulieu, Lyndhurst, Lymington. The beautiful South Downs also has some great walks.

Winchester, the County market town boasts the biggest farmers market in the Country - it is steeped in history and has a wonderful cathedral.

For those who like retail therapy, Gun-wharf Quays is a large shopping outlet built on the shores of Portsmouth Harbour, West Quays.

There is a large Marks and Spencers 2 junctions along the motorway, with Winchester and Chichester offering a more individual shopping experience.

There are many places to visit but the cottage has its own attractions - relax and watch the sea faring folk sail by; from large cruise liners off to far away destinations, to yachts, dinghies, wind and kite surfers, jet skies, canoes and swimmers.
