Sapodilla is a charming stone cottage set in a beautiful garden overlooking Falmouth harbour. There is a palm fringed pool with beautiful views over the harbour and garden. The pool is shared by the owners, although they are very discrete and would not disturb you.

Sapodilla is set in a very private situation offering a real escape. The cottage is a studio with spacious verandah with lovely views, queen sized four poster bed, well equipped kitchenette, bathroom with inside/outside shower.

The cottage is only 3 minutes walk from a top class riding club with BHS riding lessons and lovely hacks along wild beaches. Sailing of all types & all the amenities of English Harbour, which being not only a world class Historical site is also the yachting capital of the Caribbean is only 7 mins drive away.

There are lovely hikes to Rendezvous Bay, Carlisle Bay and Wallings Dam right out of the garden gate. Also lots of super hikes in the hills above English Harbour taking in a lot of historic sites

The cottage would suit adventurous types wanting to learn or practice sailing or riding and hiking or people looking for tranquillity.

Location description

We are very close to historic English Harbour in the middle of the National Park. English & Falmouth Harbours are the capital of yachting in the Caribbean, there are many top class restaurants and bars a few minutes drive form Springhill. There are several lovely beaches within easy reach. From the garden gate there is an easy hike to beautiful Rendezvous Bay - a completely unspoilt beach where you are likely the ones ones on it. We do recomment hiring a car for evenings out and explorig wonderful places like Half Moon Bay, etc.

Other activities

We are 5 minutes walk from a first class Horse Riding School where lessons and trails are offered. Sailing lessons can be arranged through the Antigua Yacht Club, experieced sailors can rent the dinghys. Day charters and other sailing adventures all very close. Great hiking right from the gate and in the area.

Local events

Antigua Classic Regatta with the most beautiful yachts of all types racing. Antigua Sailing Week with exciting racing. Both in April.

Directions

Situated on west side of Falmouth Bay overlooking the Bay. Come down Horseford Hill (with wonderful view) take 1st right turn, Farrell Road until you turn right for Springhill Riding Club, pass the club and continue up hill until you reach stone wall, large wooden gates & sign saying Springhill.
