Defne Ev is a characterful old stone house which has been completely renovated (finished in June 2011). All furniture, fittings and kitchen appliances are new and the house is furnished to a very high standard of quality. In addition, there is a large flat screen LCD TV in the living room with a full package of Digiturk satellite TV channels (including English and other foreign language programmes). The house also has free wireless internet with unlimited usage and a telephone for receiving calls from anywhere and for calling local numbers.

The owners, Michael (English) and Meltem (Turkish) live only 300 metres from Defne Ev and will be available at all times to assist you e.g. to ensure you have drinking water and gas, to deal with any problems that may arise, or to help you arrange day trips and visits within the region.

Alternatively we accept cash payment for the total amount on arrival (UK pounds, Euros or *Turkish Lira). A returnable deposit of 100 euros is also payable - this will be returned to you at the end of your stay. Please email or telephone for other options. Rates are negotiable for bookings of more than two weeks duration.

Location description

200 metres from the "Little Sea" harbour and beach. Nearest market for most supplies is only 50 metres away. Small park 75 metres away - park has various exercise machines available - usage is free.

Most restaurants are within a 1km radius of the house.

Many historic/ cultural day trips can be arrnaged. Daily boat tours leave Eski Foca every day - lunch of barbecued fish included.

Local events

There are vaious festivals in June, July and September.
Every tuesday is market day - half of the town's streets are colonised by the fruit and vegetable market, as well as traders of clothes, jewellery, and just about anything else you can think of!

The old Greek houses of Eski Foca, the five gates castle and cafe bar area, the Little Sea harbour and fish restaurants, the beaches along the coast north of Foca, Fig Island - a peaceful escape for a barbecue only 10 minutes by boat from town.....and lots more!
