    Description

    Little Dodges is 4 star English Tourist Board being detached and recently converted holiday cottage enjoying a peaceful rural location. It is ideally located for London, Eastbourne, Canterbury and many famous gardens particularly Sissinghurst a mere 10 minutes drive by car.

    The property can accommodate a maximum of 6 persons + cot. There are 3 bedrooms one of which has an ensuite shower room and a main family bathroom with enclosed shower cubicle, bath with mixer taps and wc. There is also a further separate wc.

    It has a level floor throughout and two steps up to the doorways from outside so is therefore suitable for the partially disabled.

    The living/dining area has a vaulted ceiling and is beamed throughout as is most of the property.

    The living area has two sofas, one three seater and another two seater with an armchair. A large coffee table and a smaller table with lamp are conveniently positioned. There is a TV/Video/DVD player and BT vision terrestial television. Also a payphone which takes debit or credit cards.

    The property enjoys wireless internet access free of charge.

    The dining table seats six people and there is a bookcase with DVD's and children's videos as well as a selection of books and toys. A sideboard containing mats and tablecloths as well as a selection of brochures showing local places of interest.

    The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, electric oven with electric ceramic hob. Also, toaster, fridge with small freezer compartment and ample cutlery, china, pots and pans etc.

    There is a separate laundry area which houses a washing machine and tumble dryer.

    The prices for the cottage listed are for two bedrooms and the family bathroom. If a further 3rd bedroom is required then the cost is a further 55. The en-suite shower is also a further 55 if required, this is to cater to all sizes of families on different budgets.
    There is a supplementary winter heating cost of 40 weekly and towels are also a further 3 per person at the time of booking.

    Electricity is free of charge for the first 50 units used in any one week, any used thereafter is at a cost of 50p per unit.

    Bed linen is supplied free of charge as are a Cot/high chair if required.

    We are located a short distance from an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where we can walk and enjoy the views over surrounding countryside.

    This is a peaceful little hamlet amongst many attractions which bring tourists here year on year with so many gardens and castles and other properties of worldwide interest.

    London, Charing Cross is accessible via train from Marden, with London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Hampton Court Palace.Eastbourne a short trip away including Brighton.
    Bedgebury Pinetum with its largest collection of conifers in the world and Bewl water fun for children and bicycle hire available to enjoy the fascinating Only 10 minutes away by car is famous Sissinghurst Gardens and further are Great Dixter, Batemans and more. Beautiful Leeds, Hever and Bodium castles are a short distance by car including the enchanted forest at Groombridge Place. The famous spa town of Tunbridge Wells with the fascinating pantiles are unmissable. Also seaside town of Rye, camber sands, Hastings.

    Directions

    From A21 coastbound take turning for Lamberhurst. Travel along that road following signs for Goudhurst. In centre of Goudhurst village, turn left into North Road and follow for approximately 2-3 miles until at top of hill a turning to the right signposted Curtisden Green. Turn right and follow for 200 yards until reaching a single storey brick building named Bethany Music Dept on left. Immediately after the building is a driveway with sign saying Old Poplars. Turn left into drive and take left fork and then Little Dodges is on the right hand side.

    Little Dodges enjoys cosy underfloor heating during the colder months with thermostat control in zoned area.

    The main family bathroom has a bath with mixer shower, there is a separate shower cubicle a basin and w.c. The floor is tiled.

    There is a further separate w.c. with basin.

    Our spacious sitting area has vaulted and beamed ceilings and enjoys comfortable 2 and 3 seater sofas as well as an easy chair. The flooring is tiled with rugs. The long windows show a view out to the garden of the owners' house.

    Children are welcome.
    Little Dodges is on one level so ideal for children and people who are slightly disabled. We supply a cot and high chair although bed linen for the cot is not supplied.

    This is fully equipped and all you need for a self- catering holiday. A dishwasher, larder fridge with ice compartment, microwave and electric cooker with ceramic hob incorporating a grill. Better still treat yourselves and dine out locally!

    Our kitchen units are of cosy terracotta red with original Italian wall tiles. There is also a bread bin, toaster and kettle with ample glasses, mugs, china, pots and pans.

    You will have private access to the entire cottage and courtyard. The cottage is on our land opposite our family home. We can promise you a warm welcome and will be delighted to help throughout your stay if you need anything at all.

    We are always pleased to help in any way possible. Please ask but we won't interfere with our guests unless requested.

    Outside there is off road parking for a number of vehicles. At the rear is a secure courtyard area containing a table and comfortable seating for six people. A fragrant honeysuckle and jasmine clamber riotously up the fence. For the outdoor chefs there is a wheeled charcoal barbecue.

    A 50% deposit is required at time of booking with the balance on or before 8 weeks prior to holiday commencement. The cottage sleeps a maximum of 6 persons + Cot. Heating costs have been factored in during the colder months hence the higher cost.
    A 100 refundable cash security deposit is required on arrival.
