Diving Duckling Cottage
Two bedroomed cottage set in the Heart of the North Yorkshire Moors done to a very high standard. Ideal location for Whitby, York and exploring the lovely Esk Valley, great for walking and cycling, enclosed garden and patio with bbq and overlooking a river and moor.

Originally a pig sty and a hay store, then converted to stables and workshop, finally the Diving Duckling has hatched!

The cottage is tastefully converted sparing no expense to provide a compact but extremely comfortable open plan cottage which combines the convenience of the latest up to the minute appointments with the comfort and character of the original building.

The conversion has been completed entirely by Chris and Jean, so we can attest to its quality. We have installed under floor heating to ensure a pleasant atmosphere whatever the weather also a toasty log burner in the corner for warming the toes on the coldest of nights. All the walls are insulated to higher than building regulation requirements to ensure the cottage is warm in winter and cool in summer. The lounge and dinner areas are slate tiled throughout which makes for a hard wearing surface which will not mark with wheelchairs or muddy dogs.

The luxurious fully tiled shower room has a spacious level access shower with unlimited hot water - even the shower floor is heated!

The dining area has comfortable seating and there is a well appointed kitchen containing an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge freezer & dishwasher. The washer dryer is situated in an adjacent building.

French doors open onto a south facing patio overlooking the river, equipped with table, chairs and a gas Bar-B-Que for those warm summer evenings.

Steps lead down to a small garden with a secure lawn big enough for Dad to challenge the kids to a game or the dog to play safely.
