Description of holiday cottage in Bridgwater, South West

We have furnished, decorated and equipped our cottage with everything we think you will need for a lovely week away. Guests have often referred to our cottage as a 'home from home' - in a good way!

We offer all the luxuries you would expect - coffee maker, Sky tv, wifi, flat screen televisions, en suite shower rooms, all the beds are made up for you and there are lots of bath and hand towels.

You don't have to cook in the evening as there is a fantastic pub about a mile up the road, and you don't have to worry about the kids being bored - we have provided lots of toys, games, dvds and videos to keep them entertained. Plus the garden is ideal for them to let off a bit of steam! Bring along your laptops and games consoles and connect up to the 32" TV in the lounge and the free WiFi.

Locally there is a lot to do - fishing, golf, riding, cycling, walking, shopping and swimming. Or you can just relax in the garden and read - we have lots of novels for you to borrow.

We welcome up to two well behaved dogs per week, we charge £20 for one and £30 for two dogs per week. They are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture. We have a private garden and there are lots of places locally for walkies.

There are lots of places to visit from Dunster Castle and Village to Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole. We have lots of leaflets, books and maps in the cottage for you to choose what you would like to fill your week with.

For little ones we can provide a travel cot, high chair and stair gate.

All in all we think we have thought of everything to give you and your family a relaxing week in the lovely Somerset countryside - we are surrounded by farmland and the fantastic Quantock hills are just a short drive away.

Location description

The cottage is situated just outside of the pretty village of Spaxton.
Set in the lovely rural countryside of Somerset surrounded by fields and hills. The Quantocks are designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The cottage is within a quick drive to Burnham on Sea and Kilve beaches. Lots of pretty villages and countryside to tour and visit.

Other activities

Close by is an excellent golf course, reservoirs for fishing, plenty of places to cycle, walk and pony trek.
