The Summerhouse is situated in a small community of stone cottages in a hamlet on the outskirts of Alnmouth. It is surrounded by open countryside with views to the sea. The railway station and local buses are easy walking distance. Five miles from A1 on the main route from Newcastle to Edinburgh. Thirty miles North of Newcastle exit right to Shilbottle and follow sings for Alnmouth. Just before reaching Alnmouth railway station is small hamlet of Bilton. The Summerhouse is located to the rear of Rose Cottage in Bilton and accessed view a private lane which runs behind the row of cottages.
