Poppy's cottage VB4* Gold Award is a spacious detached farm cottage especially welcoming to families with children having a full range of baby/child equipment available including cots, stair-gates, highchairs, books & toys etc.Superbly appointed, the cottage has been fully modernised but also has interesting features; such as the oak beams and inglenook fireplace. Poppy's has central heating and towels and bedlinen are provided. The cottage is idylically situated opposite to a small dairy farm - look over the gates and see the calves or watch the cows pass by on their way to the milking parlour. A short walk along the lane and you will find the sheep/lambs grazing in the fields or farmer Robin's piglets. The cottage is superbly appointed for a luxury holiday away from it all and yet close to all amenities. Please note that due to insurance reasons, visitors to Poppy's cottage do not have access to owner's swimming pool and spa hot tub.

Location description

The county towns of Weymouth, Dorchester & Bridport are all winthin 15kms. Weymouth has a sandy beach and is close to the Isle of Portland sailing and diving centres. Dorchester has several important museums and churches as well as there being many historic houses and gardens to visit in the vicinity. The old rope town of Bridport provides an eclectic shopping experience and has a virbrant arts centre. Historic Abbotsbury village has many arts & craft galleries, picturesque tea rooms and here you may also visit the famous Abbotsbury Swannery, Sub-tropical Gardens and Greath Tithe Barn Children's farm. Elworth hamlet is a walker's paradise with footpaths in all directions; the Dorset Coast Path runs along the hillside above the hamlet.

Car hire can be arrange locally in Dorchester or from local airports.
