Description of holiday chateaux in St-Beat, Midi-Pyrenees

The chateau has recently been renovated to a very high standard and is now a comfortable home. Each of its 5 bedrooms (3 x double bed, 1 x twin and 1 single) enjoys staggering views of the fields and lake below and the mountains beyond. There is a custom made kitchen which is fully equipped (5 burner stove, double ovens, dishwasher, microwave, granite worktops etc) and three reception rooms. The huge dining room seats 12 and the main sitting room has comfortable sofas, an open fire, satellite TV, DVD and stereo (ipod connection).

Fully central heated for Winter months and with thick walls to keep it cool in the Summer heat, the house has been carefully furnished and offers guests something special. There is a private bridge to one garden to the West and double doors from the sitting room, to a large terrace for al fresco dining, and another garden facing East as well as the 'parc' below.

The house is within a tiny hamlet and has its own garage. Wi-fi is also available.

Please note that due to steep drops, the house is regretably not suitable for children.

Set on a rocky outcrop in the foothills of the Pyrenees, the house enjoys fabulous views and is near to a huge list of places to visit and various activities. Nearby ski resorts in Winter, plus a wide range of gentle and not-so-gentle activities at other times. Spain is just 10 minutes away too. Only 2-3kms from village for local provisions, pharmacy etc
