Chateau Joncases is a unique 9 bedroomed chateau nestling on a hillside overlooking the beautiful countryside of the Lot Valley. Created over the past 20 years with painstaking detail by its English designer, artist and writer owner, the secluded grounds of 50 acres have gardens landscaped into green fairways beyond which oak woods and wild flower fields cascade into deep valleys.

Sweeping ivy-clad balustrades and balconies, together with hand made stone mullion windows, provide a panoramic view of the grounds and the stunning countryside beyond. Whilst inside intricately detailed carving, panelled walls candleabre, antiques and works of art create the ambience of a bygone age.

The huge solar heated pool and dome covered Jacuzzi, surrounded by terraces decorated with cascading flowers, provide the perfect daytime retreat, which, at night is transformed into the most romantic setting as its stunning green light illuminates the chateau.

In addition there is an indoor sport facility that includes a pool table, table top football, table tennis, badminton court, and darts together with cycle, walking, rowing and weight machines. There are also mountain bikes and, in the grounds, target golf with distances from 100 -170 metres.

A unique feature is the intimate Cellar Wine Bar stocked with over 1,000 bottles of a variety of local wines.

Whilst created principally as a private residence, Chateau Joncasses provides the ideal venue for a variety of special occasions in addition to a unique holiday destination for all the family.

Location description

Chateau Joncasses is located at the end of a no through road where there are only two other large properties (the nearest approx 100 metre away from front entrance) which are often unoccupied.. The Chateau and its facilities are quiet and very private, being surrounded by mature trees.
