    Description

    Chalet Alpenrose is a modern and welcoming chalet located in the tranquil village of Stadl an der Mur, in the picturesque region of Styria, Austria. Positioned between the two skiing resorts of Kreischberg and Turracher, over 70km of skiing pistes are at your doorstep.

    Famous for fantastic winter activities and skiing, there is also plenty of places to visit and things to do for the non-skier. The summer months offer an attraction of their own, with the beautiful mountain location. Graz, Vienna and Salzburg are fantastic places to visit for a day trip from the chalet.

    Whether you are looking for an outdoors activity holiday, artistic inspiration or simply rest and relaxation, Chalet Alpenrose has something for everyone throughout the year.

    Ground Floor
    The ground floor accommodation comprises of a hallway, shower room with WC and washer dryer. The sauna (maximum capacity of 4) adjoins the hall which also accesses the open plan living, dining and kitchen area.
    The well appointed kitchen is fully fitted with a full size electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and small appliances.
    The dining area can comfortably seat up to eight people. A large comfortable living area looks out onto plentiful mountain scenery. Television, DVD, Satelite, PS2 with a small selection of games and CD player are provided. The sofa bed can convert into a double bed to accommodate additional person(s) if required.
    Large open/tilt doors enable access to the veranda and the fresh mountain air! Ideal for summer B-B-Q's! In the winter the living area has a feature gas fire to keep those toes lovely and warm!

    First Floor
    The stairs access the first floor landing, leading to the four bedrooms with the flexibility to accommodate your needs and the main bathroom.
    A large balcony is accessed from the main 2 bedrooms, affording mountain views and crisp clean air.

    Outside
    Externally, a large terrace surrounds much of the building, which is set in its own landscaped garden. Outside furniture and a BBQ is provided for 'al fresco' dining and or sunbathing during the warmer months. There is private car parking for 2 vehicles.

    Directions

    The most convenient mode of travel is by air.

    British Airways and Ryan Air run regular services to Salzburg from London Gatwick and London Stansted respectively. During the ski season (December to April), it is possible to fly from regional airports (Bournemouth, Bristol, Southampton, Manchester and Exeter) to Salzburg. Ryan Air also provides additional services from London Stansted to Klagenfurt Airport situated only 61 miles from the Chalet during the winter months.

    Car Hire

    Car hire is available from around Ł26/day for a compact (Vauxhall Astra type) car. The easiest and most convenient way to arrange car hire is via the Internet. We recommend Opodo – www.opodo.co.uk.

    Travelling by car from the UK

    It is possible to drive to Stadl from the UK by taking the ferry or using the channel tunnel. The journey time by road from Calais is approximately 11hrs.
