Description of holiday chalet in Stadl an der Mur, Styria

Spacious 2 storey chalet - one of forty located in a little hamlet just outside Stadl, with a communal swimming pool and hot tub for use in the summer season.
Sleeps 4-8, with two bedrooms and bathrooms, TV, living and dining areas, kitchen, conservatory, upstairs balcony and terraces. The chalet is heated with a gas fire and under floor heating, there is a family sized sauna and the all important boot warmer.

As you enter the chalet there Is plenty of hanging space for all your coats and a heated boot rack to keep your boots warm and dry. From inside the chalet there is a feeling of space from the modern open plan design. The compact kitchen houses everything you will need for your stay.

Two bedrooms upstairs, the main bedroom is a double with a door leading leading to a large balcony. The second bedroom has two single beds, both with ample storage space. We have also provided a cot and high chair for our younger guests.

The family bathroom is fitted with a Jacuzzi bath and shower over. The downstairs cloakroom leads to the family sized sauna room and second shower. The conservatory has views across the Mur valley and also acts as the 3rd bedroom. While the Sofa in the lounge area also folds down to accommodate up to eight people in the chalet in total.

Location description

With pistes at up to 2200m, the region boasts some of Austria's most snow-sure skiing. From the largest half-pipe in Europe to a 1200m long toboggan run there is something for the whole family.

Stadl-an-der-Mur lies at the bottom of the Kreischberg mountain, in the valley next to the River Mur. It is in the province of Styria (known locally as Steiermark), on the border with Salzburgerland, approximately 90 minutes south of Salzburg. The nearest airports are at Salzburg and Klagenfurt.

Other activities

There are local shops and many restaurants and bars just a short drive away.
As a dual-season resort, when the snow has gone there is a stunning 18 hole golf course, horse riding, hiking, fishing, swimming and mountain biking nearby.
