Our Lodge located in the stunning Veneon Valley between Les Deux Alpes and Alpe d'Huez, offers the perfect location for your Cycling, Mountain Biking or Skiing holiday. After a long day enjoying the mountains you will look forward to the peacefulness of our chalet's location, with stunning views from the new terrace and hot tub and the promise of a professionally cooked three course dinner waiting for you.

The stone and wood built farmhouse which dates back over two hundred years has recently been totally renovated, and is ready to become your home from home during your stay in the region. With breathtaking views of the surrounding Ecrins National Park, down the valley to the raging Veneon river and of Les Deux Alpes ski slopes we can promise that your stay with us will remain with you forever.

Dining and Living Room
The heart of our Lodge is our living and dining room, with comfortable sofas gathered around a wood-burning stove for chilly winter months and doors opening onto a spacious outdoor deck complete with a large hot tub. The living room and decking area both have music systems complete with MP3 docking stations. The lounge also has a large widescreen television, UK satellite TV and a DVD player with surround sound and a good library of popular films and shows. We also offer free wi-fi internet access and a variety of board games. The living area is equipped with a drinks fridge and free tea and coffee facilities.

Our Guest Bedrooms
The chalet has four bedrooms in total and can sleep up to 10 people. Two rooms sleep two people, in double or twin bed layout, with brand new en-suite shower rooms. Our third room is a large split-level area which sleeps up to four adults and also has a new en-suite shower room. Our final smaller bedroom, with its own bathroom just over the landing, has a large raised bed and a single sofa bed below. For even more flexibility, this landing has an extra pull-out double sofa bed which increases the chalet’s capacity to 11, although we only make this available as part of an exclusive group booking.

Storage Rooms
Our Lodge features a large lockable heated ski and bicycle room to keep your valuable equipment safe. This room also has clothes washing and drying facilities and plenty of space to hang clothing ready for the next day’s activities. In addition there is a secure shed where more equipment can be safely stored and which is equipped with basic tools for maintenance of skis, snowboards and bikes.

Car Parking
Cars can be parked directly in front of the Lodge or just next door on a very quiet road.

Deposit/Booking Notes: These prices are per person per week for accommodation inclusive of all breakfasts, afternoon tea of cake or biscuits (pasta salad during the summer) and six nights evening meal of three courses with wine. We ask that for our one mid week night off that guests arrange dinner in one of our local restaurants.

Per night prices are for self-catering in the 4 bedroom (sleeps 10) part of the lodge. A self contained studio is also available to rent separately or with the rest of the property

All taxes are included, so no hidden extra costs. Unless otherwise arranged, please aim to arive at the Lodge after 4pm and to depart by 10am.

Location description

For skiing we are located very close to Les Deux Alpes and just 25 minutes from Alpe d'Huez and La Grave.

During the summer we are perfectly located for Mountain bikers, but especially road cyclists, being just moments from the bottom of the Alpe d'Huez and Galibier climbs.

Directions

From Calais, take the A26 to Reims then Troyes. Join up with the A5 to Dijon then the A31 and the A6 to Lyon. Here follow the A46 ring road until you find the A43 in the direction of Grenoble. Take the A48 continuing on towards Grenoble. At the Grenoble toll continue into town following signs for Briançon on the Rocade Sud. At junction 8 take the N85 and again follow signs to Briançon, Stations D’Oisans and Vizille. Continue on through Vizille up the valley for 35km until you reach Bourg D’Oisans. Continue on past Bourg in the direction of Briançon for another 5 km on a straight flat road. When the main road is about to turn left up the hill toward Les Deux Alpes, head straight on along the smaller D530 towards Vénosc. After 4km you will come across a small settlement called Les Ougiers. Instantly after this you turn right over the river in the direction of La Danchère. After another 100 metres take the right fork towards our village of Les Gauchoirs. After crossing a stream, our Lodge is the second on the right just below the road. Park in the area before the first wooden chalet and walk down the small path.
