Strontian Holiday Lodges offers a Scandinavian log chalet, Mingulay.

The house sits just outside the highland village of Strontian, on a south facing elevated site overlooking Loch Sunart . The houses are part of a 12 acre lightly wooded hillside known as Seaview Grazings. As you drive up through the estate to your home for the week, you will pass grassy banks and shrubs before rising further and passing a majestic area of fully mature Scots Pine.

The Cabin sits below the parking area so as you gaze from your living room window you are only aware of the spectacular view. If you are lucky you may also spot some of our resident wildlife. A wide range of birds will come to your bird table, and Buzzards can be seen high above the loch. Some bread and jam is often enough to tempt out one of the rare and protected pine martens that inhabit the area. Roe dear can be seen and most impressive of all a rare wildcat has been spotted by many residents

The Living/dining area has large picture windows looking over Loch Sunart and surrounding mountians and is furnished to a high standard to be cozy and contemporary in a style to compliment the warmth of the logs .

There is a satellite 32in LCD TV, a DVD player and a selection of DVD's. Mingulay can also offer guests free wifi internet access in its living area. The kitchen is well equipped for your stay and guests receive a complimentary welcome pack of groceries. The remaining accommodation is accessed by a hallway of the living room. The bathroom has a white suite, heated towel rail and a shower over bath. Mingulay has three bedrooms sleeping 6 and the double has been newly refurbished for 2009
