Description of holiday cabin in Dromahair, Border / North-West
Ard Nahoo is settled in the hills of the North Leitrim Glens, in stunning Western Ireland. Located one mile from the village of Dromahair (with fantastic pubs, traditional music, an artisan cheese shop and a world class restaurant) and about half an hour from the beaches of Sligo, Ard Nahoo has the best of both worlds.
Our Eco Cabins are revolutionary in their design. Built with timber frames, local sustainable cedar cladding, finished with eco paints and with no petrol chemicals used throughout, our accommodation is the latest in ethical construction. We use renewable energy, low energy lighting, and wood pellet stoves for heating and hot water.
Each of the larger Eco Cabins sleeps up to 7, between three bedrooms. They are all fully equipped to be self catering, though there is a caterer who can provide delicious organic vegetarian meals to the cabins directly. Each Eco Cabin also comes with an organic welcome pack, with homemade bread, eggs from our own hens, butter, milk, tea, coffee, and whatever we can pull from our organic vegetable patch that day!
Each cabin has it's own private decking area, complete with a bbq and chiminea fire. Overlooking the forests, hills and mountains of Leitrim, there's no better place to watch the last of the afternoon sun.
