All accommodation is ground floor and each room has an en suite bathroom with a shower cubicle. There is a pleasant lounge with TV, DVD player, books, maps and games. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided in the lounge.

All beds have duvets but can be made up with blankets if required. Each room has a TV and a hospitality tray.

We have a large garden with furniture which guests are invited to use. Our gazebo facing the Eildon Hills is a wonderful place to watch the sunset over the hills whilst enjoying a glass of wine.

Location description

We are in a rural position 2 miles from Kelso. From the accommodation there are views of the Eildon Hills and the Bowmont Forest. The Borders Abbey Way walk passes the bottom of the lane and St Cutherbert's Way passes very close by. There are many cycle routes locally and the roads are quiet.
Floors Castle is in the town and may other historic houses are easily accessible Abbotsford (home of Walter Scott), Mellerstain, Traquaire, Paxton House and Maunderston. All of these venues have events throughout the summer months, many throughout the winter too.
The east coast beaches are about 20miles away and offer wonderful beaches stretching for miles. The seaside villages are undeveloped and offer peaceful walking, scenery and nature. St Abbs in a rugged coastal nature reserve with a multitude of birds; puffins in the spring. Diving is a popular pursuit along this coastline.
Our location is central for a golfing holiday, the Roxburghe Championship Golf Course is yards away, all other Borders Golf courses can be reached very easily. A very reasonable golfing package is offered in the Borders.

Directions

Location is on the A698 Kelso to Jedburgh road.
From the South:
From the A1 take the A696 which becomes the A68 soon after Otterburn. After passing throught Jedburgh turn right onto the A698 for about 7 miles.
From the M6 take the A7 to Hawick (signposted Edinburgh scenic route) , then take the A698 for about 20 miles.
From the north follow the A68 from Edinburgh then turn left onto the A698 for about 7 miles.
Ferries from Europe dock in Newcastle which is about an hour away via the A696/A68.
