La Lune was originally 2 houses dating back to the early 1800s, which we have lovingly restored into a welcoming Bed & Breakfast. Our fully stocked 1 acre fishing lake is adorned by beautiful willows and is surrounded by a further 2 acres of mature pretty gardens. The above ground pool with sun bathing patio is next to the old orchard, and for our guests use the large BBQ is next to the covered terrace. Perfect for dining outside on those warm summer evenings. Situated just off the D357 and 3 kms from exit one of the A81, we are ideally placed for touring this beautiful region of France. No long winding roads to negotiate after a long journey

5 minutes away in the village of Brulon is a bank, supermarket, tabac, chemist, restaurant and large lake with beach and play area for children. You can also hire push bikes to explore some of the 170 kms of bike trails which start from here, or canoes and kayaks for a crazy day mucking about on the river. There is also a restaurant / bar for snacks and drinks and also a 14 hole crazy golf course. There is certainly something for all.


All rooms have DVD players, floor fans and tea / coffee making facilities.

The kitchen diner has free view TV, microwave, toaster, fridge and kettle.

Location description

Among some of the many places to visit is Le Mans, home to the famous 24 hour race circuit and automobile museum. The superb golf course at Solesmes, is of International standing and is known to be one of the most beautiful in France. A 5 min drive takes you to the lake at Brulon which has its own beach, canoeing, fishing, cycle trails, tennis, Crazy Golf and bar/restaurant. In just 2 hrs you can be at the beautiful beaches of the Vendee or the Pink Granite Coast of Northern Brittany, or visit the famous Le Mont St Michel Abbey. The troglodyte houses at Saumer are a must. One of the many Medieval villages near by is St Suzanne, here you can take in the breathtaking scenery or meander down one of the many walking trails. There are several large lakes close by which offer beaches, water sports, restaurants and much more.
