Description of holiday b&b in El Gastor, Andalucia
We are a friendly, relaxed, family run bed & breakfast in the beautiful white village (pueblo blanco) of El Gastor in the heart of rural Andalucia, southern Spain.
The traditional village house is situated on the edge of the village opposite a shady pine forest. We offer B&B accommodation in 2 superior rooms with en-suite bath/shower and tea and coffee making facilities. There is satellite TV in the main lounge and a sunny roof terrace where you can relax, read a book, sip a glass of wine and enjoy the stunning view.
The house is within easy walking distance of all the village amenities including over a dozen tapas bars and restaurants, all types of shops - everything from beauty salon to tourist information centre with local products and craft shop plus the normal "sell all" shops and a local market on Thursday mornings.
During the summer months the Olympic size village swimming pool is open with a beautiful terrace and its own bar and restaurant.

Location description
El Gastor is the perfect location to base yourself to enjoy the stunning scenery of the nearby Grazalema Natural Park, the Sierra de Ronda and the Sierra de la Nieves. There are many outdoor activities available - horse riding, mountain biking, walking and hiking, rock climbing, canyoning and para gliding (the World Championships took place a few years ago in nearby Algodonales). We are situated just above the shores of Lake Grazalema which is popular for fishing, kayaking and canoeing and swimming in the turquoise waters.Wildlife watching is fantastic; ibex, eagles, griffon vultures and many species of migratory birds. In the spring the abundance of wild flowers (including several indigenous orchids) make walking a delight. The famous Cueva de Gato with the oldest cave painting in Europe is close by and well worth a trip.
You could not choose a more central location to enjoy sightseeing in the great Andalucian cities of Jerez, Cadiz, Seville, Granada and Cordoba. Also, not too far away, are the coastal resorts of the Costa del Sol and the unspoilt Costa de la Luz.
All in all, a perfect holiday area for those who wish to experience the real Spain and enjoy its people and the Andalucian way of life.
