Description of holiday b&b in Dundee, East Central Scotland
The Scottish Artist Studio is a small and very unique guest house in the west end of Dundee, close to Ninewells Hospital and the Scottish Crop Research Institute in Invergowrie. It is only ten minutes by car or bus from the university and the city centre. Some guests like to walk into town and it takes about 45 minutes or 10 minutes by bus.
There are four very comfortable rooms for bed and breakfast guests with the option of self-catering for those staying longer than one week. All the rooms have their own tv, and wifi access. The luxury double en-suite has wonderful views over the River Tay to the Lomond Hills in Fife.
A full Scottish breakfast is served in the artist's studio room where resident artist John Stoa creates his paintings. Art lovers can view artwork in progress, with guest discounts on all paintings and prints.
The guest house is set in it's mature garden, with many flowers especially shrub and climbing roses and small garden trees. Guests often enjoy walking the garden or eating out on the sunny patio. Cars are parked in the drive at the front of the house.
Both Anna and John have extensive local knowledge of Dundee, Scotland's sunniest city. There are many fine restuarants, pubs and night clubs, art galleries and places of interest such as the ship the Discovery, the Law hill, Dundee's extinct volacano, the DCA and real ale in the Fishermans Tavern in Broughty Ferry.
Some might like to try horse riding, visit our golf courses, or the family beaches at Broughty Ferry and Carnoustie. Glamis castle is a short car or bus journey and walkers are in easy reach of the Angus glens and Perthshire villages. Anna and John are happy to help guests plan their trip around Scotland and to ensure all visitors enjoy their time spent at the Scottish Artist Studio.

Location description
The Scottish Artist Studio is in Menzieshill Road which is just off Invergowrie Drive. It is located near the Invercarse Hotel on the Perth road which runs for about 3 miles due east into the city centre of Dundee. Being close to Ninewells hospital it is very convenient for patients and their family as well as visiting doctors. Dundee has its own theatre group, Dundee Rep, the amazing Discovery Centre, paintings of note at the MacManus Galleries,good restaurants and lively night clubs. Families can enjoy Camperdown Park zoo and and the nearby beaches at Broughty Ferry and Carnoustie.

By road take A90 from the west or north, or A92 from the east or south into Dundee then the A85 next to the River Tay.
This leads to the Perth road then Invergowrie Drive at the west end.
