Our property is situated on a large plot with 2 separate entrances & is totally private yet only a short stroll from the village centre - ideally placed for a relaxing holiday yet close to shops, bars & restaurants. Our pool is set in beautiful gardens with some wonderful exotic plants as you can see from the photographs. Here you can take your breakfast while looking down over the valley and the surrounding mountains down to the coast and deep blue sea.

We are situated on the side of the mountain with stunning unrivalled views down the valley, across the Mediterranean as far as the Rif Mountains in Morocco. We have 7 patios, 3 lawns, a swimming pool, 2 BBQ's & a lovely mature garden for you to relax in. Even when we are fully booked there is always a secluded corner. We have solar water installed, A/C in the Apartment & and Orange Room and our drinking water is fetched from a fresh spring in the National Park.

We have two ensuite rooms and one apartment for rental all with their own terrace areas, drink making facilities, fridges and fans and heating. The apartment has kitchenette and large lounge complete with library, games, DVDs and television. We are entirely flexible on the change over days.

Location description

Competa is nestled 700 metres above sea level in the Sierra Almijara, perched upon a hill side with picturesque views. A delightful medium-sized white Spanish village. It is one of Andlucia's famous white villages or Pueblo Blancos - the white washed walls reflect the beautiful summer sun, on doors, windows and walls throughout Competa town.

Competa has 35 bars and restaurants offering excellent tapas and meals at low prices. The area of Competa has one of the best climates in Europe, and the land surrounding the village and down to the coast is filled with vineyards, olive, almond and lemon groves. The locally produced Moscatel wine is famous throughout the region. You can visit one of the bodegas and taste it yourself!

Directions

From Malaga airport bus (no.19) runs every 15 minutes from the Airport to the Central Bus Depot in Malaga where the Competa bus can be picked up three times a day. The service is very cheap (less than €4.00)and the coaches are comfortable and air conditioned
