Matthew and Bob (Bob being my rescued border collie) Warmly invite you to come and stay in our friendly and informal Bed and Breakfast. Situated in the center of the pretty market village of Chaillac, near Argenton-sur-Creuse. Down a little lane next to the beautiful 15th century Chateau. An easy drive from the A20, exit junction 20 or 21 and follow the signs to Saint Benoit du Sault then signs to Chaillac. A restful stopover when traveling between the North and South of France.
Our recently renovated village house was built originally to provide housing for the servants from the chateau, now we hope we have created a warm and homely chambres d'hotes where you will enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay. As our guest we would like you to think of our house as your house for the time you are with us. All our rooms are centrally heated to keep you warm on even the coldest winter's day. As well as providing you with a room for the night we can also offer you a great three course dinner, served in our cosy dining room in front of the wood burning stove. Before moving to France I was a head chef and have worked all over the world so it should be no problem finding something to tantalize your taste buds. My ingredients whenever possible, include fresh local and organic produce.
We can offer you a choice of 3 bedrooms The Oriental Room with its sumptuous chocolate leather double bed and sofa plus original Chinese lacquered wardrobe and bedside cabinets with authentic Asian works of art. This room has a private bathroom comprising bath with shower, washbasin and WC.
Next we have the Red Room with its tasteful decoration, beautiful oak parquet flooring and comfortable double bed. Views over the courtyard and surrounding area.
It’s a great room for a good night's sleep or just to relax in. Private bathroom with large shower, modern sink unit and WC.
Lastly we have the Guest Floor which is, as it sounds, the whole top floor of the house. Two very comfortable double bedrooms sharing a private bathroom with shower, sink unit and WC. This arrangement is great for families or friends travelling together. An extra single bed can be placed in either of the rooms so that up to five people can be accommodated.

Situated in a quiet road, a stroll away from the village square in Chaillac, a few minutes drive from either junction 20 or 21 off the A20 autoroute. At the south of the department of L’Indre on the borders of the Limousin, a short drive from Argenton sur Creuse, Montmorillon, Saint Benoit du Sault, Eguzon and La Souterraine. Explore the many towns and villages and enjoy walking, cycling, fishing or simply relaxing in the quiet country lanes, in the woods or by the many rivers and lakes – soaking up the natural beauty of the region.
Whatever your reasons for visiting us, whether it be a holiday, a long weekend or simply a stopover, you will be assured of a warm welcome.

In Chaillac turn right after the village square then turn left into rue du Docteur Audoucet ring the bell at number 5.
From the south exit junction 21 from the A20 Auto Route direction Saint Benoit du Sault D10, at the T junction turn left on to the D 36 signposted Chaillac. In Chaillac turn right after the village square then turn left into rue du Docteur Audoucet ring the bell at number 5.
