Simply Beautiful....Le Domaine St Pierre de Trapel is a former wine growing estate in the Minervois region. The graceful proportions of the "maison de maître", the rolling lawns and mature parkland create a serenity and charm recall a more gentle pace of life. Yet, le Domaine is also within easy reach of the main attractions of Cathar Country and enjoys an ideal location just five mintes drive from carcasonne and short walk from the canal du Midi.
After relaxing by the swimming pool, which is a calm and discreet oasis for guests or in the Domaine's extensive gardens, there is nothing better than a stroll beside the Canal du Midi.
The house, lovingly restored and tastefully decorated offers guests a realxad, yet stylish atmosphere.
There are five bedrooms, each with its own colourful personnality. You will have great fun choosing between the subtle greens in Jade and the deep blues of Les Marines, the dusky rose and deep reds of Rose Pourpre and the vibrant golden hues of Cannelle, or at least the master room Safran with the warm orange tones of the decor together with the old tiled floor and papered walls, compliment the gracious canopy of the wrought iron four-posted bed and white marble fireplace of the living area.
Each room has a spacious and light-filled en suite bathroom, which offers touches of luxury.
The charm and authenticity of the house strikes you as soon as you walk in.
On the property you will also find a charming gîte La Maison d'Oc where you can stay for a week or more.
On place some wines sessions or wines tasting are organize by the owner.
