Welcome to Menglaz B&B, Chambres d'hotes.

Matthew and Lissa warmly welcome you to come and stay in our friendly and informal family run B&B situated on the edge of the historical town of Callac, central Brittany. Within easy drive from the ports of Roscoff or St Malo. For foot passengers on the ferry or if you choose to fly we can come and collect you from either Roscoff port or Brest airport.

Our recently renovated house was built in 1927 for a cider merchant, but now offers a comfortable stay with lots of character.

All rooms are centrally heated if you were thinking of a winter break. We are ideally situated for those house hunting in central Brittany, our second floor self contained apartment is ideal for families or a couple wanting a longer stay, for this we have special discounted rates. Please ask for details.

We can offer you a ground floor double room with spacious en-suite comprising bath with shower, washbasin and WC, or a second floor suite with a double and 2 twin beds and own private bathroom with shower, washbasin and WC suitable for families. Both rooms are fully equipped with tea and coffee making facilities. Continental or full English breakfast is served in the dining room or in the garden weather permitting, guests are welcome to use the dining room anytime during the day.

Location description

Callac is a quiet town with a range of activities to include a street market on wednesdays,all kinds of everything are on display here, its the ideal place to buy fresh fruit and veg or to sample local specialities such as delicious Breton crepes. Also a range of interesting shops, two major supermarkets, banks, cafes, bars and restaurants. It boasts a very attractive lake for fishing surrounded by wooded areas with nature trails and walks.

Other activities

The department of Cotes D'Armour has lots of wonderful beaches and spectacular scenery to enjoy only 40 minute drive away.

Equy, open air music concerts in town every wednesday evening during July and August.
