Located in the very heart of the Peak District and less than one mile from the historic spa town of Buxton, Barms Farm is an ideal base to explore the breathtaking Derbyshire Dales and for visiting the numerous local attractions in the area. Commanding an elevated position north of Buxton with open views all around, the large farmhouse offers superb accommodation and facilities courtesy of the Naden family who have owned the property since the 1930's.
The property has ample, private, illuminated car parking and sits within its own landscaped grounds. Within the garden sits a large pond with adjacent pergola and seating area.
The luxurious 5 star silver award b&b accommodation gives freedom of access. A private guest entrance opens into the main hall from which the staircase leads to the guest wing of the house which can accommodate up to six adults within three en-suite double rooms. Traditional features are complimented by modern conveniences and furnishings and decor are to a high standard throughout. Quality, attention to detail and guest comfort at Barms Farm has been recognised by Visit Britain and rewarded with their ‘Five Star Silver’ award which assures guests of superior hospitality and quality throughout their stay.
The three tastefully furnished double bedrooms have 'extremely comfortable', romantic King size beds adorned with linen of uncompromising quality. Hospitality tray, 32” flatscreen LCD TV with digital tv and radio channels, alarm clock/radio, hair dryer, adjustable heating and double glazing are standard in all the rooms.
The pristine, en-suite bathrooms are equipped to the highest standard and are complimented by sparkling gold taps, large towels, Gilchrist & Soames toiletries and a thick bathrobe in each.
In the well presented dining room a choice of freshly cooked breakfasts are served at individual tables. Organic free range eggs, home cured bacon, hand made sausages and Derbyshire honey all produced in the Peak District are sourced wherever possible to give a truly tasty start to the day.
The spacious lounge is the perfect place to relax in comfort after a busy day exploring the surrounding Peaks and Dales. Buxton, well known for its spa water and its wealth of historical and architectural heritage, is also rich in special events, festivals and local traditions. The Buxton Opera House annually hosts the world famous Buxton Festival in July as well as The Gilbert & Sullivan Festival during the month of August.

Directions
End of line train station at Buxton accessed via changes at Manchester Picaddily. Numerous local taxi firms based not far from the railway station. Skyline 199 bus leaves Buxton at least once per hour and passes within walking distance of Barms Farm.
Barms Farm is located one mile north of Buxton immediately after the 18 hole golf course and the lane entrance is on the right hand side of the carriageway.
