Description of holiday b&b in Bridport, South West

16th Century Grade 2 listed Thatched Farmhouse set in one hundred acres of own farmland overlooking the beautiful Marshwood Vale. We are surrounded by the the hill forts of Lamberts Castle, Coneys Castle and Pilsdon Hill and a lovely rural and peaceful location with plenty of walks and a country pub serving good food and real ales just a ten minute walk or two minute drive away. The World Heritage Site and Jurassic Coastline of Lyme Regis and Charmouth are about seven miles away and have good beaches and fossil hunting. Market towns of Axminster and Bridport are a short drive away and Weymouth, Dorchester, Exeter and Yeovil if you like to venture a little further.
The B&B has three bedrooms, 1 large master en-suite, 1 large king room and 1 standard double(these two rooms share bathroom facilities but do have wash basins in the rooms. The two main rooms have beams and open brickwork and are very traditional. All rooms have sofas, colour televisions, tea/coffee making facilities, mineral water, hair dryers and clock/radios, rooms are fully heated during Winter. There is a iron and board available upon request. A full English breakfast is served each morning in the dining room which has a inglenook fireplace with woodburner which is lit during the Winter months for your comfort.You are welcome to sit in our cottage garden during the Summer months and roam the fields of our farm at leisure.

We are in a lovely rural location with pleanty of walks and interesting hill forts surrounding us. The Jurassic coast of Lyme Regis and Charmouth are a short drive away for beaches or fossil hunting. Although we are in Dorset we border the counties of Devon and Somerset, so you are within reach of many locations.
