Lying next to the orchard this lovely timber framed barn dates back to the 16th century.
Enter the barn into the dining hall with its pale oak refectory table and high-backed leather chairs. Heavy oak posts frame the entrance to the adjacent sitting room that boasts an inglehook fireplace and log burner. Out of the huge oak-framed window you can enjoy your gardens and the splendid stone staircase leading your eye around to the arbour and lawns above.
The beautifully hand crafted kitchen boasts every modern convenience whilst retaining its own rustic charm. The ground floor cloakroom has a toilet and wash basin with the timber framed walls still retaining the original animal ties. Tucked under the stairs is a useful storage cupboard.
Up the winding staircase to the spacious master bedroom with exposed timbers and vaulted ceiling supporting an imposing iron candelabrum over the king sized leather bed, the centrepiece of the room. The impressive oak framed window offers views over the gardens to the orchards beyond.
The same scenery can be enjoyed from the second double bedroom with its contemporary fabrics juxstaposed against the exposed wall and ceiling timbers. The room has its own dressing area and fitted wardrobes.
Finally upstairs you'll see yet more timbers on the landing leading to the period style bathroom that is fitted with traditional white porcelain ware.
Outside is a private garden with table, chairs and BBQ
