Our beautiful barn in the heart of Monbazillac is surrounded by vineyards and is minutes walk away from the Chateaux Monbazillac - built in 1550.

The barn is a 200 year old, former winestore which has recently been lovingly restored to create a stunning and truly spacious family home. It has been fitted with everything that you and your family need to enjoy a superb holiday.

The linen provided is of white cotton with a luxurious feel, as are the towels. We also provide towels for your use by the private pool - saving you valuable luggage space!

The living area is very large and all on one level, except for one of the double bedrooms, which makes the property ideal for the elderly and wheelchair users.

There is a friendly cafe/bar just around the corner serving meals and selling morning croissants and bread. Bring them back to the house where you can enjoy your breakfast on the patio enjoying the sun and the fantastic views of the Chateaux and Bergerac. Monbazillac has a Post Office, hairdressers, tabac and Sunday night market during the Summer months.

We are a 10 minute drive from the ancient city of Bergerac where you will find many shops, bars and restaurants.

Location description

Monbazillac is in the SouthWest region of France known as Perigord. Located 5km south of Bergerac and approx. 1lr 20min drive from Bordeaux. Conveniently located to access a wide range of activities and many daytrips to the prehistoric caves or local Bastide towns of Eymet, Issigeac and Castillonnes. During the summers there are many and various day and night markets in surrounding towns.

Other activities

Nearby there are boat trips and canoeing on the Dordogne river. There is an Aqua Park, driving range and go-carting locally. Pre-historic caves.
