Description of holiday barn in La Loubiere, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur

La Grange is set in the ten acre grounds of a 16th century chateau. Once a stone barn, La Grange now offers accommodation for ten, in two double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and three twin bedded rooms with a large family bathroom. The bedrooms are decorated in beautiful French and provencal fabrics with comfortable beds and good quality bedlinen

The open plan kitchen/dining/living area is vast (1000 sq ft) with high ceilings, a huge fireplace and comfortable sofas - plenty of space for everyone. The layout of the kitchen is ideal for several people to cook together, or even for cookery demonstrations. There is a laundry room with additional toilet and basin and washing machine. The raised terrace is south and west facing and has has views of the swimming pool, surrounding countryside and beautiful sunsets.

The large fenced 12 x 6.5 metre pool has comfortable sun loungers to relax on and views of the thyme and rosemary covered hills. For the more energetic there is a tennis court (resurfaced in 2008) in the grounds of the chateau, which guests have unlimited access to.

The town of Pertuis is 5kms/3 miles away and offers a wide range of shops from small family bakers to large supermarkets. There are a wide range of restaurants in the area, and numerous markets and vineyards, where you can sample the local pruduce.

The motorway is only a ten minute drive away, which gives easy access to coastal resorts such as Cassis, Marseille and the Calanques. Also, the cities of Aix-en-Provence, Avignon and Arles, which are steeped in history and culture. In contrast there are the famous villages of the Luberon, including Lourmarin, Cucuron and Bonnieux, which are all easily reached by meandering country routes

Location description

Situated only ten minutes drive from the motorway, which gives easy access to coastal resorts such as Cassis, Marseille and the Camargue.
