El Granero is one of six properties at Molino la Ratonera, a recently restored flour mill in the heart of Andalucia. El Granero has two bedrooms and a fully equipped bathroom with bath, shower and bidet. The spacious sitting room/dining area and kitchen are open plan and lead on to a large covered terrace overlooking the waterfall.
The house is equipped for up to four guests with one double and one twin bedroom. The terrace is a beautiful place to sit and watch the varied wildlife in the river and woods. Its position, built into the rock and close to the river ensures that this house stays refreshingly cool in the hot summer months.

Location description

Molino la Ratonera is a recently opened holiday retreat set in a watermill in a lush river valley. The location of this mill, in the heart of rural inland Andalucia, southern Spain, is within easy reach of Granada with the Alhambra and Albaicin, Malaga, Seville and Cordoba and yet its rural situation provides a haven for wildlife and an excellent environment for walking, birdwatching or relaxing. The beautiful 5 metre high waterfall and the 16th century mill tower add to the magic of the site and make it an unforgettable location.
Access to Molino la Ratonera is by newly resurfaced track, from our nearest town of Zagra, less than 2 miles away. Zagra contains bars and restaurants, an excellent small supermarket, banks with cash machines and even a castle. We are only 30 minutes away from the A92 motorway, which makes Granada, Malaga, Seville and Cordoba within easy reach for a day visit. With only an hour's journey from Granada airport and 1 hour 20 minutes from Malaga, this is an ideal holiday location.
