    Description

    Award winning designed complex built in true Andalusian style. Al Andalus Thalassa Luxury apartment consists of 2 Bedrooms & 2 Bathrooms, one of which is en suite, a fully equipped modern Kitchen and comfortable Lounge/Dining area. The complex is secure and gated electronically.

    The apartment is on the 1st Floor, there are 12 steps leading up to the apartment, there is no lift up to the apartment. The Balcony has excellent views over the landscaped gardens and water features.

    Everything you will ever need is within the apartment and complex, ensuring that you have a pleasant, enjoyable and memorable holiday.

    There are several children's play areas within the complex, small children have their own sections of the pools, there are short and full size tennis courts, all floodlit, there are 2 outdoor pools, plus we have indoor spa facilities including a heated pool, a sauna, a Jacuzzi and gym.

    Close to the apartment are shops, bars, restaurants and water park, and not forgetting our local blue flag awarded Vera Playa beach. There is a local bus service taking you to the local fishing towns.

    You are approximately a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive to the European Blue Flag Vera Playa Beach with a good selection of Beach Bars during mid to high season.

    Please note that there is a section of the beach to your left which is clearly identified by the way of signage as for Naturists. Indeed there is a growing Naturist attraction to the area. The Vera Playa Hotel was the first official naturists hotel to be built in Spain.

    The Parque Aquatico, the water park, where you can take a thrilling ride on one of the many flumes, or sit and relax by one of the swimming pools. There is also a good selection of water shoots and slides. Children have their own play areas and slides.

    GOLF FANATICS - There are 4 great golf courses within a 15 minute drive of the apartment, including the World famous Desert Springs course, Valle del Este, Club Marina Golf and Cortijo Grande Golf Course. There are a further 2 championship courses within 90 minutes drive of the apartment.

    Desert Springs, was opened in 2002, full USGA specifications, it is par 72, 6173 yards in length and Europe's only desert golf course. It is without doubt one of the finest golf courses in Spain, providing both amateurs and professionals alike a totally different experience of playing golf.

    Location description

    The charming and unspoilt fishing village of Villaricos, take a stroll along the promenade to the harbour.
    Only ten minutes from the apartment by car is the beautiful unspoilt fishing village of Villaricos, both charming and tranquil, maintaining a typical spanish feel.

    Located at the foot of the Sierra Almagrera Mountain, Villaricos (rich village) derives its name from ancient silver mines. It is said from here that Hannibal paid his mercenaries when he besieged Rome.

    Villaricos hosts a small market on Sundays, it is worth a visit, take in some lunch and enjoy a stroll along the beautiful promenade and harbour.

    The fishing town of Garrucha is famous for its red prawns, and excellent fish restaurants.
    Just 10 minutes by car from the apartment, Garrucha is a thriving town, it has a beautiful sea front promenade, the length of which is lined with great restaurants and a variety of bars.

    On Friday's a huge street market is held here, so arrive early to avoid the midday sun.

    The Harbour in Garrucha is going through a major transition at the moment, it is being expanded to accommodate cruise passenger ships hopefuly in the near future.

    Vera, is steeped in history and traditions, a healthy mix of old charm and the new and vibrant parts of the town.
    Just 10 minutes from the apartment is the town of Vera. The walled renaissance town of Vera. It is one of the most important commercial centres in the region. Originally called Baria, located by the sea near Villaricose, it was destroyed by a volcano in 1518. The main Square is called Plaza Mayor, where people meet and chat, have a drink, a little food and so on. There are many beautiful buildings, and the town is taken over on a Saturday by the biggest of markets.

    On the edge of the town as you approach Vera you will see on your right The Plaza de Torus (Bullring), built in 1897 and beautifully restored to its former glory in 1993. It is still a working bullring and museum.

    Mojacar is a wash of beauty and fascination, winding your way up into the clouds, Mojacar Pueblo is the most amazing place.

    Amazingly you are just 15 minutes away by car from the Moorish influenced white washed town of Mojacar. High up into the mountain Mojacar consists of narrow streets, single file traffic, you go up the mountain as far as the road will take you and down the other side.

    The journey through the narrow steets to the top is an experience not to be missed, once you reach the top, go to the square, find a seat, order a drink and enjoy the view, it is incredibe.

    There is a go kart track, 10 minutes drive from the apartment.

    Directions & Distances from the various Airports are as follows:
    Almeria is 45 minutes drive from the apartment, Murcia will take 1 hour 15 mins, and Alicante will take 2 hours.

    Finding the apartment is very straightforward from any of the airports, it is directly off the main motorway (A7 / E15), this motorway runs along the Meditterranean coastline.

    From Almeria airport, follow the signs in the direction of Murcia, exit at the turnoff for Vera. From Murcia & Alicante airports, follow the signs in the direction of Almeria and Malaga, exit at the turnoff for Vera.
