The Art Apartment is a newly restored apartment, in an early 1960s building in the heart of the modern city, 3 minutes walk to the beach and the same distance from downtown.

This apartment is 100 square feet ( about 95 square meters), on the first floor in a building which has been recently done over. It includes a bright entranceway, and a comfortable atmosphere for easy living on your holiday. The entire apartment was completely renovated between 2005 and 2008, and all the furniture and decoration are new and fresh.

The kitchen has been restructured; it is fully equipped and has everything you could ask for in a new kitchen: including a security gas system.

The living room has a very comfortable angular sofa bed, a big TV ,a DVD player with a couple of DVD’s for children, a dresser and air conditioning. Many colourful paintings by Paolo Da San Lorenzo decorate the room.

A lovely terracotta tile balcony off the kitchen and living room, is a perfect spot for a morning coffee, or to relax with a glass of wine. The full bathroom is nicely furnished with a sink, wc, bidet and shower. A long hallway leads to the two large bedrooms, the Blue room and the Orange room. They sleep a total of 6 people comfortably (up to 8 with the pull out couch in the living room). Each of the bedrooms includes a double bed, a single bed, and a wardrobe. They are air-conditioned.

A sunroof with breathtaking view of old Terracina is available for the use of our guests; an ideal place to sunbathe and relax.

Location description

For those who like their Italy a bit more Italian, the southern half of the boot holds many treasures, and few of them have been discovered, far less overrun by tourists.

Our place in Terracina is perfectly located as touring base to visit the real Italy.

Slightly more than 100 Kilometres from Rome and 120 Km from Naples, Terracina lies on about fifteen Km of coastline, along the wide gulf marked off by the Circeo and Gaeta promontories. By taking a short walk in the old town you will discover characteristic shops and establishments, including small wineries, with history everywhere around you.

Piazza del Municipio also offers a view of the two symbols of Terracina, the incredible sea and the Temple of Jupiter Anxur. On especially clear days you can see the jewels of Campania, the islands of Ischia and Capri. Pompeii and the Vesuvio volcano are pretty close too (150km).

Terracina is full of fine restaurants and is really good for shopping. Very distinctive are the colourful fishermen's port-canal and two basins for pleasure-craft, and the arm of the port where the ships depart for Ponza (in the summer) and for Ventotene. It is really a particular experience visiting the upper historic city centre of Terracina; it is like travelling through the thousands events which marked the history from ancient times to our days. Every stone, building, road reminds events and famous people of the past.

Those who enjoy the countryside as well as the sea need only venture a few miles into the interior to reach many interesting places. Terracina is definitely a must for everyone who loves Italy and its beauties.
