Description of holiday apartment near St-Gervais-les-Bains, Rhone-Alpes

The apartment is traditionally French in style, and has been recently renovated with a new fully fitted kitchen and bathroom. It has a large open plan kitchen/living area with spectacular views of the mountains, a family bedroom with a king size bed and double bunks, and a second smaller bedroom with a double bed. There is also a sofa bed in the living area and a third single bunk in the alcove off the hallway. There is a large bathroom and a separate WC.

Electric heating and hot water are included in the rental, as is use of the ski locker on the ground floor. Bed linen and towels are provided at a supplement. There is ample parking in the nearby public underground covered car park, or in the parking area for the tramway.

Additional facilities include a travel cot, a Maclaren buggy for guests with babies or toddlers, and a selection of toys for young children.

Overall the apartment makes a superb base in the summer for a wide range of activities for both adults and children, and in the winter it is very easily accessible to the ski areas of Mont Blanc, Les Contamines, Les Houches, Megeve and Chamonix.

Location description

The apartement is situated in the market and spa town of Saint Gervais les Bains. The town is located within the Mont Blanc ski area, and the apartment itself is only 100 metres from the Tramway du Mont Blanc. There is also a ski bus immediately outside the apartment which runs very regularly during the winter season. Saint Gervais is 20 minutes by car from Chamonix, and as such offers a variety of summer activities such as walking, climbing, mountain biking and paragliding.
