Location description

Our website has links on the links page and also on the home page of our site at Abode in Style to our event calendar of things to see and do here on a monthly basis. Festivals and weekend markets happen all year round. We also have links to dining and wineries as well as activities.
This area is famous for it's Hot Springs, many many golf courses, wineries and vineyards and weekend markets. The wild beaches of the National park and historic sites are great for walkers to this area too.

Other activities

All water sports can be done here by rental of equipment, coaching for just go yourself, scuba, snorkel and surfing being the main ones. Fishing boats for daily hire or deep sea fishing if you prefer. Something Unique - Swim with our dolphins and seals in the bay. Or visit under the Rye Pier for our unique seahorses

Local events

Every weekend we have a market on for local produce, farmers markets and hand made items including other festivals and get togethers.
The Mornington Peninsula is considered the Melburnians weekend playground because it is only an hour's drive from the city of Melbourne to our beaches, bay side calm beaches and wild surfing beaches.

So Many - see our website for more info. Mazes and Wetlands, Glass and local craft markets and shops, a brewery amongst the wineries with cellar door sales and tastings. A cheesery and many many berry farms where you can pick your own. Sailing, yatching and boats of all kinds dot the bay. Play tennis, swim, go to the gyms, cafes and restaurants of every kind. Shopping if you need a bit of a splurge. Or just get a great massage and a hot dip in the thermal pools.

Directions

You need a Car - as we have to drive to the local shop to get milk.
Cars can be hired from the Airport or can be delivered to your door here when you arrive. If coming by train from the airport then you will need to catch the Portsea bus to get from Frankston to Rye. We will pick up guests in Rye to get them to their accommodation but you need a car to get anywhere local or further to explore this area.

A detailed map will be emailed for those that book without some basic knowledge of this area.
