Welcome to our luxurious, new ski apartment in Obertauern, Austria.

Location
This Austrian ski apartment is located in the Steinadler Aparthotel, built in December 2009 in traditional and high quality Austrian style. The location is very convenient for keen skiers as the Intersport is located directly across the road and the Zehnerkar ski lift a mere 100 meters away. Exiting from the top of the building, near the ski locker, you are a 75 meter walk from the slopes and it’s possible to ski back to the building in the right snow conditions. The town centre is 1 kilometer away and is easily accessible on foot, by car, taxi or ski bus.

The Apartment
The 64 square meter ski apartment is decorated to a high standard with all the modern conveniences (including under floor) for a comfortable ski holiday. A large south facing balcony allows for unrestricted views across the ski slopes and up to the centre of the village.

The Living Space
The accommodation consists of two generous bedrooms, one en suite bathroom with shower room and one further bathroom with shower and bath, a large open plan kitchen/dining/living room and a hallway. Bedroom 1 has a king sized bed and en suite. Bedroom 2 has two comfortable single beds.

The fully fitted kitchen is well equipped for cooking and boasts a dishwasher and microwave in addition to all the usual amenities. A pull out sofa provides a comfortable bed for a further two people.

There is a large balcony accessed via the living room through sliding doors, making the apartment bright and airy. The hall has plenty of space for storage and coats. Two allocated parking spaces are located in the garage.

Further amenities
These include cable television, DVD player, free high speed wifi and a washing machine. Linens and towels are provided. There are two allocated parking spaces in the secure underground carpark with lifts to the apartment.

Facilities in the building
You will be welcomed to the apartment by a member of the friendly team in reception where a breakfast room and bar are also located. Alpinara benefits from a residents only spa area for relaxing in the sauna or the jacuzzi bath when you finish on the slopes. Fresh bread and croissants are available to order - delivered to your door each morning.

Location description

Situated at 1740 meters, Obertauern has ideal snow conditions from the end of November to the beginning of May. The modern ski lift system has 26 lifts connecting about 100 kilometers of runs. For beginners, there are plenty of ski schools and easy runs to get started on. For more dvanced skiers, try the many challenging off-piste runs. And best of all, you rarely have to queue.

Obertauern boasts numerous restaurants and bars for those who seek an an exciting apr-ski scene. You will find lots of places to party in the plentiful bars, pubs and discos.

For families, the resort has many options for childcare and ski schools to suit all age groups. Restaurants are child friendly. Ski bunny races, costume carnivals and kiddy discos will keep them entertained.

Not a skier? Obertauern also has over 60 kilometers of cross country skiing in addition to ice skating, tobagganning, sleigh rides, snow kiting, snow biking, trekking and snow shoeing.

By plane
Fly to Salzburg or Klagenfurt. Airlines flying to these airports from the UK are British Airways, Easy jet, Ryan Air and Airberlin.

By public transport
Trains travel from Salzburg train station to Radstadt every 2 hours, depending on when you travel. From Radstadt to Obertauern, there is a regular bus service (at least hourly).

By car
It is an easy drive from both Salzburg and Klagenfurt airports. The roads are well maintained and only the last 10 km are mountainous.
