    Description

    Auriel is a luxury, contemporary, air-conditioned apartment in the heart of Nice's chic (and safe) Carré d'Or district. Moments from the beach (200m), Auriel is in the upmarket pedestrian street which is packed with great cafes, restaurants and boutiques that are open all year round. A short stroll away is the daily market, the old town, Place Massena, museums, casinos and top hotels.

    Ideally suited to a family or group of friends looking to relax in luxury surroundings.

    Completely renovated in April 2015, the flat is on the 4th floor (with lift) of a well-maintained block. The flat is spacious, light and airy and has two balconies: a south-facing balcony where we have breakfast and cocktails overlooking old bourgeois buildings at the front and the buzz of Rue de France, and the other is off the master bedroom overlooking the peaceful gardens of the church (no bells!).

    The bright, open-plan lounge/dining area and fully-equipped kitchen (Bosch appliances and a Nespresso coffee machine) faces south and opens onto a sunny balcony which has a table and chairs for four and a retractable awning – a great spot for morning coffee and croissants or pre-dinner cocktails. The lounge has a comfortable L-shaped sofa, flat-screen TV with access to 200+ channels including BBC World News and BBC Entertainment, and free wifi internet access. Beside the kitchen is a dining table which takes four comfortably, extendable to six.

    The master bedroom suite has its own bathroom and walk-in wardrobe. Both the bedroom and en-suite have french windows opening onto a balcony. The large master bathroom has a shower/bath, hand basin, WC and heated towel rail.

    The second bedroom is almost the same size as the master (a difference of centimeters) and has a generous shower room next door with hand basin and heated towel rail. A separate WC with hand basin is close by.

    Each bedroom has two good quality 90 x 200cm beds which can be made up as super-kings. The bedrooms both have bedside tables and lamps, chair, hairdryer, plenty of storage and are decorated in neutral tones of soft grey and white. Electric shutters provide total darkness if you want it. Overlooking tranquil gardens at the back of the flat, both bedrooms are quiet.

    In the entrance hall is a storage/coat cupboard, a utility cupboard with washing machine, and a lavatory with hand basin.

    For the cooler months, the flat has central heating.

    Bus and tram stops, municipal car parking and car rental are all within a short walk – important if you want to visit Monaco, St Paul de Vence, Cap Ferrat or Cannes during your stay! The journey from the airport takes a maximum of 15 minutes. Everything you’ll need in terms of supermarkets, boulangeries, patisseries and pharmacies is close by.

    200m from the beach, right in the heart of the upmarket Carre d'Or area of central Nice, in the pedestrian zone. Restaurants, bars, bakeries, supermarkets right on the doorstep. An easy 5-minute walk to the old town, the market and other must-visits.

    Fly to Nice airport. Taxi to Auriel takes 10-15 minutes along the Promenade. The airport bus stops near the Negresco and it's an easy walk from there.

    Our local English/French speaking representative will meet you on arrival at the apartment, explain the facilities and give you the keys. They can also arrange to purchase some basic provisions for you should you require.

    Rental rates are for the property per week regardless of the number of guests.

    Prices for shorter stays (minimum 4 nights) available on request.

    Minimum rental period during the peak season is 7 nights

    Special rates and terms given for long term winter rentals, please contact us with your dates for a quote.

    End of stay cleaning is included in the rental price
    Linen packs are available, paid locally, or you can bring your own.

    A deposit of 25% up to 8 weeks before your stay is required to secure your reservation. The balance and payment of the security deposit is due 8 weeks before your booking starts

    Payment can be made by bank transfer in Euros. Renters are responsible for all bank charges.

    Payment can also be made in Euros by credit card via the owner's PayPal account, please note that an additional charge of 4% will be added to the total amount to be paid to cover the PayPal fees.

    A security deposit/holding cheque of €400 or £250 is required on arrival in case of damage, breakages or extra cleaning. The cheque will be destroyed upon satisfactory inspection and inventory check done during the end of stay cleaning.

    PLEASE NOTE that at least one member of your party MUST be 21 years old or more.

    Changeover day is flexible.
