This large charming 1st floor apartment is right in the heart of Old Lisbon near the bottom of the hill at the top of which is situated St George's Castle. With 110 sq. metres of indoor space and 3 bedrooms, our apartment compares favourably with competing smaller rental apartments. In addition the apartment itself has a garden at the rear containing orange and lemon trees and a superb view of the city of Lisbon. It is ideal for slow summer lunches or cool evening dinners. It is a 10 min walk to the castle, but only a 3 minute walk down to the Rossio, considered the centre of the Baixa or Downtown Lisbon. Located in Mouraria, the old Moorish quarter of 12th century Lisbon, the area is quiet and has a village feel to it. The underground, Martim Moniz, and the trams (famous 28 tram passes close by) and buses are only 2 minutes from the house in the Largo de Martim Moniz, whilst the mainline station to Sintra is 7 minutes walk. All facilities are within walking distance.

A Lisbon City All Transport Pass can be bought for about 15 Euros for 4 days. As the apartment is so centrally-located, all public transport (buses, trams and underground) are right on your doorstep. As the apartment is so centrally-located we don´t recommend renting a car. However street parking is available and free.
