Being close to the CROATIAN BORDER. This makes an ideal stopover or you can be at the BEACH in 2 hours.
In winter you can be on several diferent SKI SLOPES in 1 hour.

This is really the place to stay for WALKERS, CYCLISTS,and NATURE LOVERS. Walking and cycling routes are on the doorstep, as are the deer (if you get up early enough).

This is also the place if you love visiting amazing CASTLES and CHURCHES, we have lots. Podsreda castle is said to be the best Roman castle in Slovenia and you can get there in 20 minutes.

Location description

This beautiful area of rolling hills, forests and vineyards is a hiking paradise. It is doted with castles and quaint churches for those who like a bit of history.
Nestled in the hills in a non tourist area but only 15 mins drive from a large waterpark, golf, deer park, abundance of resturants and a health spa.
In winter the ski slopes are less than a 1 hour away.
The Slovene and Croatian coast are 2 hours away as is the famous Lake Bled. The capital Ljubljana, the smallest capital in Europe is less than 2 hours. There are also many large historic towns a short drive away.

Directions

A car is essential for this holiday if you want to visit lots of places, either fly to Graz (Rynair from Stansted)
or Ljubljana (Easyjet from Stansted)
or Lubljana (Wizzair from Luton)
then hire a car, these are usually the cheapest flights.

An alternative is to drive:
1. Dover to Calais/or dunquek cross by ferry (2hours) or channel tunnel (30mins). with a stopover in eastern Germany.

2.Hull to the hook of Holland.(overnight crossing) again you would probably need to stop in eastern Germany overnight.

Flights are also available with Adria airlines from Mancester and Heathrow to Ljubljana.
