Situated in the Costa Blanca, Las Marquesas in Jacarilla is in the Spanish countryside and is surrounded by the majestic gardens of the Marquis of Fontalba’s mansion and acres of orange & lemon groves. The airports of Alicante and Murcia are a 45 minute drive and golf or beaches lie within 20 km. A private residence with communal swimming pool and security gate, this First Floor apartment with balcony overlooks the central pool. The accommodation comprises one master double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a second twin bedroom, shower/bathroom, lounge complete with sofa bed and kitchen. AIR CONDITIONING is installed for your comfort.
The apartment is in the village of Jacarilla, which lies about 15 minutes drive inland from Torrevieja, and approximately 45 minutes from Alicante or Murcia Airport. Its rural location ensures you can 'get away from it all. The apartment is situated next to some beautiful public gardens bequeathed to the village by the Marquis of Fontalba. This gives the village an authentically Spanish feel and ambience. The village is well provided for, and every amenity is available. A list of the facilities and their location in the village can be provided on request prior to your visit. For those that enjoy scenery you will find that the mountains are also easily accessible.
You are ideally situated for golfing, beaches and towns with night life, with everything you might need to hand.
Golf courses Six championship Golf courses all lie within 18km. La Finca (10km), La Marquesa (13 km), Villamartin (18km), Royal Campoamar (18km), Las Ramblas (18km) and also La Manga which is less than an hour’s drive.
Beaches Beaches at La Mata, Guardamar and Campoamar all lie within 20km.
Other Leisure Pursuits Tennis courts are at Almoradi (9km). In Benidorm one can find the theme parks Sea World and Terra Mitika. Shops and other essentials can be found on foot in the village or a short drive away near Orihuela Town. there is a local information centre and other facilities in the village. Location description
If you enjoy theme parks we have sampled the delights in Benidorm of Aqualandia water park, Mundomar sealife park & Terra Mitika disney type theme park.We have explored the local historic town of Orihuela, which has beautiful buildings & interesting history. In addition we have driven to the port & marina of Cartagena, one of the oldest ports in Europe. This was the main supply route for the Republicans during the Spanish cival War with Franco's Fascists and has a lot to teach about this turbulent period.

Directions
We recommend travellers fly using budget airlines such as Jet2, RyanAir, Easyjet or GlobeSpan into Murcia or Alicante Airports.From there car hire is recommended (although we can offer airport transfers if required at an additional cost).
Directions to Las Marquesas By Car – Jacarilla (From Murcia (San Javier) Airport) (Approx 45 km)
From Murcia (San Javier) Airport, you will need some euros (currently 3.00 euros) for the road toll.
Follow road out of airport and merge on to A37 (AP7) (signposted to Torrevieja, Alicante). Stay on A37 for around 23km.
Leave A37 at junction 758 and at roundabout take the 3rd exit on to the CV95 (signposted Orihuela, Torrevieja (Sur))
Continue forward entering San Miguel De Salinas and following signs for Bigastro for another 15km or so. You will pass "Pets World" on your left and after some S-Bends you will see a garage on your right on an incline in the road. Immediately after the garage turn Right at sign for Jacarilla.
Go down a road past olive groves and fields. Watch for speed bumps!
Enter Jacarilla – at the 2nd road on your right, follow signs for Las Marquesas to the right, which is a large cream coloured block near the gardens.
Apartment is No 9 on the middle (or first) floor. (Back left hand corner as you look from the gate).
Directions to Las Marquesas By Car – Jacarilla (From Alicante Airport) (Approx 75 km) From Alicante Airport, you will need some euros (currently 3.00) for the road toll.
Exit Airport and go straight over bridge and to the left. Join existing road at bottom of ramp and drive approx 1 mile. This road terminates with 2 exits. 1st towards Alicante, Benidorm and Valencia. Pass this one and then road terminates with exit for Murcia, Carteghena and Torrevieja. Once on his motorway heading south, drive for approx 12-15 mins. Take exit 724 towards Cartegana and Torrevieja. At this exit there are 4 lanes so be careful. Also, exit numbers do not follow each other numerically. Once on this motorway drive for approx 10-12 mins and take exit 743 for Algorfa and Benijuzar. Drive through both villages, Algorfa first. Be careful of ONE WAY road in Benijuzar just past the DIA supermarket to the right. At the exit of Benijuzar, at the roundabout there is the first sign you will see for Jacarilla (4km), its straight through the roundabout. On arrival in Jacarilla petrol station on the left. Straight through 1st roundabout to the next (half) roundabout and “Las Marquesas” is to the left. Total drive somewhere between 35-40 mins depending on your speed.
