In Helette you will find the peace and quiet of the countryside whilst only 30 minutes from the Beach at Biarritz and the city of Bayonne.
We offer you 3 spacious apartments recently renovated to highlight their original features. Santa Maria also has a magnificent Function room and a 70M2 Workshop as well as extensive terraced gardens with Barbecues, picnic tables and Hammocks for your enjoyment. All 3 gîtes have fully equiped kitchens.We provide bed linen and bath towels. An ecological wood burning boiler centrally heats the gîtes out of season.
The village of Helette,100 metres from Santa Maria, has restaurants, bars, a boulangerie and épicerie around the attractive square; The region is fantastic for walking and many other outdoor and cultural activities;
Gîte Sutegi
Ideal for a couple but having 2 bed settees in the living room can accommodate 4.
Built above the original bread ovens it has its own exterior access leading to a south facing Breakfast terrace with French windows into the 20M2 living room. The bathroom (shower, toilet, sink) is off the living room as is the Kitchen (fully equipped), A west facing terrace leads off the kitchen with glorious views of Mt Baigura and the sunset.
An Oak staircase leads upstairs to the spacious bedroom (20M2).
Gîte Ohantzea
This spacious split level apartment on the first floor can sleep up to 7. The entrance hall leads into the Kitchen/Dining room from which a staircase leads to the 2 bedrooms on the mezzanine (one with a double bed the other with double and single beds).There is a toilet/washroom between them. The main bathroom (10M2)(shower, toilet, washbasin) is below the mezzanine.
A passage leads from the dining room to the living room with its log fire, desk, library of English Classics and double bed settee if required;
There is an attractive private terrace with dining table, chairs and a barbecue.
Gîte Teilatua
On the 2nd floor this attractive 2nd floor apartment sleeps up to 7.
From the main staircase you enter into the dining room (also with settee and armchair) off which is the kitchen. A hallway leads to the Bathroom (shower, toilet, sink, bidet) and a double bedroom.
Stairs lead from the dining room up to the mezzanine with a double bed settee. The 2nd bedroom leads off the mezzanine (1 double and 1 single bed) as does a 2nd Toilet/washroom.
Teilatua benefits from splendid views being high up.
Gardens
The terraced gardens with picnic tables and barbeques have a wonderful view over the valley.There are hammacs and games for your enjoyment (Pelota court at the end of the drive, Basketball hoop in the courtyard, Boules, Table Tennis inside or in the courtyard and even our outdoor theatre!
