The Studio, as its name suggests, is a spacious ground floor studio flat, opening out through double French doors to a view over the pool and the surrounding countryside.

It has a separate shower room and fully equipped kitchenette, with gas hob, combination microwave oven/convection oven/grill, and dishwasher.

The studio contains one double bed and one double sofa bed, cot and high chair can be made available upon request. There are dining areas both inside and outside on a covered terrace.

The studio is also equipped with English free view digital TV.

Location description

Hautefort is a pretty hill top village which is dominated by one of the premier Chateau in the Dordogne. A former medieval castle it was the birth place of Bertrand de Born the famous troubadour. The present day chateau is surrounded by a beautiful 40 hectare park with a renowned formal flower garden. The village is also home to a museum of medicine. St Agnan is also a picturesque village and stages a number of fetes and night markets during the summer season. Within the immediate surrounding area is the ‘Etang de Coucou’ a lake which offers good fishing. Situated at Rouffiac (15km) is a supervised lakeside beach and watersports complex. Quad Biking, canoeing and horse riding are also within easy reach.

Les Tachats is located in the Dordogne at Hautefort approximately 40 km North East of Perigueux in the Auvezerre valley. It can be reached by low cost airlines, Ryan-air, Flybe and BMI baby which fly to Limoges, Bergerac, Angouleme and Bordeaux airports.

Hautefort is located close to the junction of the A89 and A20 motorways and is approximately 7 to 8 hours drive from the channel ports. It is approx 1hr 45mins from Limoges, Bergerac & Angouleme airports and 2 hours from Bordeaux. Car hire is available at all local airports and the nearest direct inter-city train services arrive at Brive and Limoges.
