The Town

The village is famous for its local wine and honey. There are many local shops selling crafts and ceramics. Guests can take a guided tour that includes the village church dating back to 1640. Frigiliana also boasts a state of the art fitness centre that is open to the public.

There are stunning views and easy access to mountain walks, and Frigiliana is often described as a walkers paradise, being on the edge of a national park. Horse riding, golf and a range of water sports are all available in the surrounding areas. The costal resort of Nerja is 6 kms away, with an excellent bus service should guests prefer to leave the car at home. However, for those with a car, Frigiliana is a perfect base from which to explore the region, with cities such as Granada and Malaga within easy reach

How to get there:

Fly to Malaga airport. Guests can then take the local bus service to Frigiliana via Nerja, or hire a car at the airport. To drive, follow the motorway signs for Motril/Almeria. Take the Nerja/Frigiliana exit (292). Frigiliana is clearly signed and is approximately 4 km's from the exit. Total journey time approx. 45 minutes. Detailed directions provided on enquiry/booking.
