Description of holiday apartment in Formentera Del Segura, Costa Blanca / Alicante

This newly built apartment is in a peaceful and laid back location.. On the outskirts of Formentera is the neighbouring towns of Rojales and Benijofar.
There is 23 apartments in the block and the apartment is on the second floor with lift access to the apartment

This property is spacious and airy, with loads of day light making it feel really homely. It is furnished to a good standard in a contemporary, but cosy style with a comfortable and luxury furnishing.

Just around the corner from the apartment is a municipal swimming pool and several sports playing areas including football, basketball, squash and two children’s playing areas. There is a walk way where you can stroll alongside the Seguara river and into the neighboring village of Benimar.

Formentera del Segura is in the south of the Costa Blanca, amongst the orange and lemon groves. It is located a short distance from Guardamar, where you will find the great sand sculptures which must be seen.

there is several amenities within walking distance. There is a convenient store, a butcher, organic store, post office, pharmacy, tabacconist, bakery, banks, two hairdressers, several bars and restaurants. There is a supermarket which is a 5 min walk. There is also a Medical centre (Centro Salud) in the main town square incase of emergencies.

Please note that during off peak seasons, local shops and supermarkets will be closed on Sundays. If you fly in on a Sunday, we recommend you to take advantage of the welcome pack.

One of the many attractions on the Costas are the weekly markets, which most towns and villages have. You can find anything from fresh fruit and vegetables, to shoes and clothes. It is worth comparing prices and quality from stall to stall. The markets are usually open from 9am til about 2pm. Formentera's market is held on Mondays. However, if you miss out on this day then you can go to the local markets in the surrounding areas. Benijofar has a market on Tuesdays, Guardamar on Wednesday morning & Thursday evenings and Rojales on Thursday.

Torrevieja is a 15 minutes drive away, this city boasts two large and beautiful natural salt water lakes which form the "Salinas de Torrevieja" and are an official Spanish nature reserve. These lakes attract a wide variety of bird life, including pink flamingo's.
There is also a newly opened salt musuem in the main city centre. You can then relax by the beach and the marina. There are several Spanish and English cafe's and restaurants along the promenade. If you like traditional food, then try the tapas bars along the narrow streets.

If you love shopping then visit Habaneras Centre in Torrevieja, where you will find shops like Zara, Mango and
H & M.
There is also a new shopping complex in Murcia called Nueva Condomina.

There is a water park called Aquopolis in the area, which is great for entertaining the children.

There are several golf courses within the area, many only 10-15 minutes drive way. Rojales has its own golf course.

Well located in the heart of Southern Costa Blanca, amongst orange and lemon groves the town is located a short distance away from glorious blue flag beaches of Guadamar numerous golf courses, entertainment and cultural attractions. Alicante airport is 35 minutes drive and Murcia airport is 35 minutes away. both have frequent cheap flights from uk airports try ryanair, thompson, monarch, bmi baby,easy jet and others.
car hire is available at the airports or transfers can be arranged from 50 euros return for a party of 4, or 100 euros for a party of up to 8, there is a meet and greet service fantastic value, i would recomend it if you dont want to drive from the airport.It is recommended you do ask for a meet & greet package if arriving late at night as most supermarkets close early.
