Description of holiday apartment near Estoi, Algarve

One villa divided into 3 separate apartments, with the first floor apartment being occupied by the owner. All have private entrances and furnished terraces. Ideally suited to an extended family holiday allowing separate living accommodation, but plenty of room to meet up around the pool for socialising. Situated in a rural, but not isolated area. The local towns are within a short 5 to 10 minutes drive and have banks, shops and restaurants. There are plenty of local attractions and beaches close by for adults and children. Car hire essential. A reputal car hire company located at Faro airport can be recommended.

Notes on accommodation
Suitable for all the family, yet giving you separate living accommodation. Weekly change of bed linen which is supplied along with towels. Please bring your own beach and pool towels. Baby cot and other equipment can be supplied on request including paddling pool and highchair.

Outside
The pool is approx 15m in length with an outside shower. There is also an outside kitchen which has a sink along with a barbeque and fridge for shared use. Next to this is a shaded area with tables and chairs for communal dining. Large private car park at the front of the property. Lounge beds, with cushions for use around the pool. The outside areas are used by all guests at the villa, but each apartment has it's own veranda.

Location description

Within around 20 mins drive you can be at the beautifully clean sandy beaches or shops at Faro, or the long beach and seafront promenade at Quarteira and Vilamoura, Tavira's 10km long island with its sheltered bathing, and the vast broad sweep of golden sand at Monte Gordo. Rio de Formosa nature sanctuary is close by a wonderful place to see local wildlife. You can also go by a short ferry ride to one of the many islands dotting the coast.

Estoi is 5 mins drive, has shops, restaurants, post office and banks and is famous for the Palace do Visconde (The Pink Palace) and its roman ruins, along with it’s very busy monthly market. Sao Bras do Alportel is 10 minutes drive and has an excellent weekly market on a Saturday where you can purchase extremely fresh produce. There is a large market at Quarteria on Wednesday and another large market at Loule on Saturday.

Estoi sunday market held every second sunday of the month.

Each apartment is equipped with details on areas of interest along with local restaurants. Within easy reach are Zoomarine - where you can swim with the dolphins, superb local museum at Sao Bras depicting local cork industry, close to many islands and the Rio de Formosa to see local birds and wildlife.There is something for all the family within easy reach. The Milreu Roman ruins are a fairly unknown treasure in the heart of one of Portugal’s most beautiful coastal regions – the Algarve. Situated just outside Faro and near the charming Estoi village, the Milreu ruins are considered to be one of the most important archeological finds in the Algarve region. A laundry service is available on request. a welcome pack is also included. Wi Fi avaliable for a small suppliment.
